What V8 Saloon

S63 is a V8

*cough*

Fail :D

I said i'd take a CGT thanks actually, then i realised that i failed at my choice as it wasnt a saloon OR a v8 :p

Time to get off here and hit the wine i think. Not working for another 7 days yet

Would obviously have to drive them all, as I've no experience with any, but I think it'd have to be either the Merc, BMW, Jag or Audi.

To my mind, the Vauxhall and Chrysler are just fairly poor quality cars with big engines (as fun to drive as they may be) and the Lexus just wouldn't interest me personally.

Surely you could have the Bathurst S for the same cash as the others? Id have that and change.:D

If not it would be the Jag for me.

What puts me off is

A) the low rent interior when compared others mentioned here

and

B) its not that fast - it has traction issues. Even with 570bhp and a supercharger, its not quicker down the 1/4 mile than the M3, let alone the C63.

C63 on the other hand, is only restricted to 450bhp by virtue of the fact the ECU restricts the maximum available throttle to about 80 % or something. Change that back to 100 % and you get the full 520bhp the engine develops in the E63. Go for a stage 2 tune with involves a full exhaust including headers and a remap and you're developing 550bhp and will pull the 1/4 mile in 11.xx seconds

Interior wouldn't bother me that much, i have a 9 yeer old Honda and i think it's quite good.:D

Wouldn't really give a rats ass about 1/4 mile times mate, id just be drifting everywhere lol.

Im pretty sure it would smoke everything there in a drag race anyways.......

It doesnt though. Thats just it. It can't get traction.

Power is nothing without control, and its something the bathurst doesnt really have.
