if someones shooting you at close range with 1 there should be a downside over taking the 40mm Shotgun.
accuracy is the down side.

I'll just say, i hate servers running the same damn map over and over and over.... Rotate!
I tend to avoid them anyway, but still![]()
Im having abit of an issue with bc2 atm , basically as i play the screen with adjust from full screen to half screen just showing my windows taskbar at the bottom then when i press a mouse button it switches back to full screen
has any one had this or heard of this ?
accuracy is the down side.
I believe all guns have slight bullet drop, I have definitely noticed it using the m14 on heavy metal.
I think the sniper bullet drop is just exaggerated to add difficulty to a play style that in most other games is like using the rail gun in quake.
Slugs do have bullet drop, it's just not easy to see because all you have is a tiny iron sight zoom. All guns except the tracer gun have some bullet drop, some do seem to have less than others but it's mostly the mounted weapons.
Also I have 535 smoke kills so ner.
I guess Heavy Metal is bigger than most maps... though i did get rail gunned by the M14 a couple of weeks ago across the map on Harvest Day which was utter bs, no way could he of made out a target from a range that looked tiny through 12x scope.
I thought Heavy Metal was quite a small map. Is the SQDM version smaller or something? It doesn't seem that big to me anyway, maybe it's just me.
You do realise the SQDM maps are not a very good indicator of the actual map size right?Heavy Metal and Harvest Day are huge maps, especially in Conquest.
Do you know anyone who has it on steam?
If you get the steam version you could just copy it fro mthier pc/they can put it on disk for you
but no Vietnam is included in the patch.
If you want to play mp there's a lot top dl that';s not on the disk.
You may be able to avoid the update if you install and run the game with your internet connection disabled.
Personally I would still buy it on steam and see if you can get a friend to give you the steam files via usb/external hard drive. The single player isn't that great anyhow, and running the game via steam is much much easier than using ea/retail.
I am fairly sure that you would not be able to play online unless you have the latest patch.
