Does a dual socket amd board like this exist? capable of holding 2 x (upto maybe 6 core amd cpu's) that are phenom ii.

I've been looking but the only amd type boards i can see that are dual socket are opteron server boards.

it would be pretty sweet if there is one as it would blow any single socket intel system out of the water and probably still cost less ;)

Not that im aware of, most dual cpu motherboards from either camp are server class, and won't overclock at all. And cost a small fortune.

Well execpt the evga sr-2 one, which still costs lol.

Nope and you won't see a Dual socket AM3 board as the chips only have one HT Link, however it 'should' technically be possible to manufacture a Quad Socket G34 board that can overclock AMDs 12 core opterons

I see...

It just would be a very good product that people would buy so i don't see why they woulden't create a board capable of it ...

the thought of having 12 AMD cores ... ;)

take that intel :D

intel fights back.
im building a xeon system.
cost less than £400 in total, with software.
so. i have 8 intel cores, and it has been proven intel run faster than amd.

i still dont know how thats possible

Explain to me how your building a 8 core system including tower, psu, cooling, software, memory and graphics for £400 ....

my gpu alone cost £320 ...
