Hi there,

I'm soon to be water cooling my pc, This morning i got my cpu water block (The HEATKILLER CPU Rev3.0 LT) from another web site. my problem is i don't have a back bracket and i'm not sure if your supposed to have one or not!, i have read other post and other people what they are saying and it seems that you don't need one or am i wrong to thing that?.

Thanks

I wouldn't have thought you would need a back bracket so long as you have a bracket to mount it onto the CPU, but I myself dont really know much about the watercooling area as im still with the good old HSF with the coolermaster V8.

Sorry I can't be of any help for you. I'll do a little research and re-post.

All i can find after looking around is that it comes with this:

x1 HEATKILLER® CPU Rev3.0 1366 LT
x1 Installation Parts and Instructions
x1 Hold-Down Plate Set

Now by just looking at that it obviously has the watercooling system itself, instructions and parts (screws and stuff) and a Hold-Down Plate Set. So i would guess that everything you would need would be right there with it.

MrElve, I would edit your sig as it’s far too big! Read the rules...

A back plate allows you to tighten the mount more to get more pressure without the motherboard flexing. Heatkiller back plates are sold separately from the kits. Just be careful and watchout for any warping - if the board starts to bend you're too tight.

Oh OK. My bad.

Any better now? or does the content need to come down?
