What the hell is all this about?

Hundreds of birds have dropped dead from the sky in Louisiana just days after a similar mysterious incident left scientists baffled in Arkansas.

The carcasses of around 500 red-winged blackbirds were found littering a quarter-mile stretch of road in Pointe Coupee, The Advocate reported.

The state borders Arkansas where some 3,000 blackbirds died in unexplained circumstances three days ago.

I read somewhere on BBC news that they said it might have been new years fireworks, but shouldn't that happen every year then and surely people have stopped doing fireworks four days after new year..

Birds dead, thousands of fish dead in the same state, two earthquakes within 2 weeks in the north, and someones garage getting flooded!!!

Some violent storms went through there though, probably killed by hail or strong updrafts maybe.

It's peculiar that it is always 1 group of birds in each place. You don't find a mix of Pigeons and Gulls amongst them.

Surely it's something that's poisoned these birds at some point when they were all together at an earlier point on their travels/migration. Probably all drank form a dodgy lake or something like that.
