Mario was the first, the more groundbreaking, a classic and is still fantastic today but Banjo improved on the formula and was therefore the (slightly) better game.

Not played BK, but voted for SM64 anyway. Easily one of the best games of all time. I've completed it multiple times and got all the stars. It's a masterpiece.

I was really disappointed with Perfect Dark on release and barely played it comparatively the world had moved on by the time it eventually came out. The theme is just not as cool as Bond, but having said that I enjoyed the XBLA version it's a real shame Goldeneye was canned.

Since it was in the sale I tried the Banjo XBLA and I don't think time has been that kind to it, plus I couldn't work out the key to the first area and the warbling of the characters during the text speech quickly got on my
boobs (if I can't say ****) .

Agreed, zelda was best ever game.

But mario was better than banjo i think, but banjo is awesome. goldeneye is awesome, mario kart is awesome, perfect dark was awesome, n64 was the best console ever, it only had a few games on it but most of them were groundbreaking.

I actually played Banjo before I played Mario 64. Don't get me wrong Mario will always be a classic because the groundbreaking things it achieved but Banjo was the better game. Just like CBFD was a better game than both.
