Does anyone here still use a single core pc?

What used to be the 'family' computer downstairs, contains a Pentium 4, something like 128MB of DDR RAM, probably extremely bad on-board GPU, and some dust. :D

Practically unusable these days, and has been for yonks. Probably cluttered up with loads of crap though and I'm a complete technotard when it comes to software issues.

Not actually use one no. Though the only cpu in my spare cupboard is an old single core amd cpu so I am hoping nothing goes wrong with this one.

Sure, me eee 901 is a single core atom!

But yeah, even my HTPC is dual-core, my last single-core desktop was my Athlon XP 3200+ which I stopped using ~2 years ago.

Is this IvyBridge you speak?

But yes, my packed-away comp is a Pentium 4 @ 3ghz with HT. The virtual HT core is rated @ 0ghz. No idea where it went. Anyone?

My current PC is single core.

I should have upgraded it years ago (its now 8 years old ) but keep getting told "No" by the parents.

My current comp is that.

I have a virtual core @0GHz too... Could that explain why its suddenly so much slower and (even more) ****.

Celeron 430 in my HTPC used every day. Cant see it being upgraded anytime soon either as it plays all my HD .mkv's perfectly well.

I still run a P4 computer.....

Didnt really consider that it was single core, untill now thinking about it.

Oh dear. Well I only use it for the internet etc... the comp in my sig is my gaming machine....

Other than some heavy flash website, P4 is still a good workstation chip.

Got at least the life of Windows xp in it.

I'm still rocking a Pentium 4 3.4Ghz. Just upgraded to a 2500k the difference should be immense!
