Just thought I would get this off my chest, I was leaving a bar last night with my girlfriend, we had a tiff so she was walking about 10 metres in front of me and some guy stops her and asks for money, she told him she had none and he then continued to pester her and got aggressive, she told him to go away in no uncertain terms at which point he threw his hot coffee onto her, she gave him a whack at which point he raised his arm too, this was when i turned the corner and saw there was a scuffle between them, I cant really remember much else other than standing over him punching him in the face and being pulled off by some other guys.

I am not an aggressive person and I am trying to reflect whether this was justified or not.

Dude.

100% justified, I hope you taught him something.

Why do letchy men think they can just pester women?

He wasn't drunk, I admit I was a bit drunk, which probably saved him from a bigger kicking due to my lack of co-ordination. but he put hot coffee onto her and looked like he may try and lash out at which point I wanted to make sure he couldn't. I just feel like a thug and try and think how I could have resolved it without violence but I am not sure there was a way

He raised his arm, I think the point at which it could have been resolved without violence had passed.

Cant see the problem here, you gave an idiot a dig that was driving your mrs mad, good job.

I did gain some brownie points for being her knight in shining armour, however she is still angry with my as I was dancing with another girl (only for a laugh, she was not attractive in the slightest)

He started it. You kicked his ass. He deserved what he got.

Think about what he might have done to your girl if nobody had been around. Still feel bad?
