Story here

In summary for those who don't want to read

Guy has five or six beers and then goes out in his car, gets pulled over. Flukes all the tests that the officer gives him, avoids a breath test and gets let off and sent on his way.

Goes home and brags on a forum about the whole story. Forum detectives find out who he is and send a letter to the police with a copy of his own "confession"

Awesome, I love forum detectives

What possessed the silly **** to talk about that of all things on a car forum.

Nothing awesome about it, looks like its done by some very immature people for or immature people to joke about.

I know it's nothing spectacular, but anyone who brags about drink driving deserves everything coming to him. Although like Burnsy said, he'll probably end up getting away with it :(

I doubt anything will come from it. There isn't enough evidence to charge, so regardless he got away with it.

Just speaking with a guy I work with who is an ex-bobby. He said he won't be charged as he needs to be caught at the time, IE - the tests on the road side catch him, he passed them so he won't be charged.

Bit of luck it might wake him up in the future.

No one likes a drink more than me, if i can not drink and drive anyone can, i hate stupid people at times.

Once he had the overcoat off and the copper was stunned by his Versace suit and Lobbs hand mades it was all over, what a winner.

Wait, he passed the sobriety tests..so, wasn't drunk? I'm not sure I quite see the problem unless the tests are totally flawed?

No ones sober after 6 pints, which means he really had 8 anyway.

Indeed, the offence is driving over the prescribed limit. Without some sort of alcohol test, even with a signed confession you would find it almost impossible to charge.

Those sobriety tests must be a load of crap then, the police involved are incompetent.

Do UK police ever use those tests, or do they only use breathalysers?

he was american? so 6pints is really like 2 pints over here because there beer is like 2-3%...

Totally bro! .... they rarely drink 'pints' anyway, and the ABV is irrelevant, for example I can easily go to the bar and drink anything from 6 pints/bottles of 0.5% beer right up to 7.5% there is no 'standard'
