Drink Driving Fail

Lucky him. I wasn't caught driving when I got done in August. If it wasn't for the idots on my street starting a fight with me and the police being called for that I would have "got away with it", not that i means anything. They pointed the finger at me for drinkl driivng, I was chucked in a van, the assaut was ignored and I was breathalysed at the station and got the stay the night.

I did the right thing though, I admitted it and took it on the chin no matter my circumstances at the time, there is no excuse and it's probably the only real thing I've ever regretted and now I'm a criminal for it too. For what it's worth a drove <1 mile.

Anyway, if this was the UK he wouldn't he have been arrested for refusing a breath test and then be put i na bigger heap of trouble?

He didn't refuse anything, he just passed the preliminary's.

I was expecting something rather more exciting tbh, this thread disappoints :(

What idiots the rest of the forum are - people like this really annoy me. Sure he drunk drove (although if he passed sobriety tests, one could argue he was fine to drive), but to potentially mess around with someone's life like that would probably indicate the forum is full of spotty teenagers with nothing better to do.

This is on par with people who prosecute after a fist fight - I recently had to attend court as a witness after some little ***** decided to pick a fight with a friend, lost and then decided to go to the police. Because there were allegations of people stamping on heads (which turned out to be a lie when CCTV came to light!) my friend could have gone to prison for six months.

I hate humans.

Don't be silly, we have Fox on this forum. There can't be anymore spotty teenagers with nothing better to do :p

To be fair, he's obviously worried about it as he pulled his wiki page and his name listing from his company.

I can do this. I'm looking good in my Versace suit and Bontoni shoes. Let's go.

pmsl sounds like he was ****ed whilst creating the thread. Great story teller...

Boasting about getting away with drink driving is also on par with the above 'offences'. If you're stupid enough to post details like that on the internet then people will get the arse and take things into their own hands.

You make a valid point. He made it home in one piece... From what Ive read he even told the Cops that he had been drinking.

So he showed that the amount of alcohol he had was not impairing him.
Yes it was bad to drink drive but its good that they showed an element of common sense.

They could tell something wasn't right but he was actually ok, so told him to leave the car for the night.

Good work copper?

Then you should also be prosecuted for being a lazy **** then :D:p

I drove down as we had some presents etc. I'm a country lad, I walk faster than many run to be honest :D

No idea why I drove back. All I know a lot of things had got to me that night. Was suffering from depression at the time along with a few old issues getting in the way. Ended up trying to compensate with alcohol on the night and I'm rarely drunk, maybe twice a year.

Anyway, there's no excuse. I was still an able bodied free thinking individual no matter the circumstance. I should have walked like I have done many times at greater distance. I just hope when I get my license back the insurance cost doesn't hold me back from enjoying what I love. Punishment on top of punishment :(

You doing the right thing, it'l all work out in the end.

Maybe he drinks so regularly that he is able to function properly after 6 pints of US beer ?

Maybe you should be able to retake your driving test after a few drinks, if you go on to pass then you licence is stamped with your own personal limit - JUST JOKING !
