I bought some veggie crisps in an effort to be slightly more healthy (and for a change from grotty Doritos), only to find that about 90% of the bag was air! T'isn't limited to posh vegetable crisps, either. Kettle Chips are pretty bad too.

Anyone know why they do this?! It's bloomin' annoying to say the least.

As you can see from the pics, the contents just about cover the base. I think they foil the inside of these packets to make it seem like there are more crisps!

Write them a letter and see what they say! It'll probably be something along the lines of, "it's to stop you from getting fat, honest! EU guidelines, guv!"

It looks like quite a large bag, which presumably has the weight of the contents printed on it somewhere!

If it is less than that you can certainly complain, but even it it isn't, and you do contact them, they will probably send you a free bag... or a voucher, anyway! :)

I think I would have lifted it up, felt the weight of the bag and thought, "hmm, this isn't right".

Veggie crisps are quite dense in comparision to normal crisps I think. It's not just these, though, there have been loads of times I've opened a packet that's not even been half full.

That's not normal. I think you got a duff bag. I mean crisp packets are rarely full because they're filled by weight, and settle as they're jiggled about in distribution, but it's not normal for those to be that empty.

Blimey they’re selling crisp flavoured air. Complain to your MP.

It's obviously a duff one so complain to them.

They fill them with air so it has a cushion to stop the crisps breaking when they're packed.

Also, those crisps look foul :x

I bought a bag of pork scratchings the other week before going to the pub, after buying my pint and sitting down... opened them up..

There was two in there.. TWO

thats probably the worst i've seen, and looks more like potpuri than crisps lol

Have you guys also noticed how small multipack crisps are now?

it's getting worse!

Parsnips make the best crisps! however they have to be home made.
As for the packet, thats quite bad big packet small product syndrome!! Definatly send an email off to there CS.
