Hi Guys,
I Bought The Overclocked Black Op Bundle from Overclockers, and my problem is though the BOIS is showing an overclock of 4.2GZ, when I look at it under windows 7 in SYSTEM it only shows as 3.07, How do i get my computer to report the actual overclock.

Any Ideas?

Intel Core i7 950 3.06GHz @ 4.20GHz
Asus X58 Sabertooth (Socket 1366) DDR3 Motherboard
Corsair Dominator (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 1600MHz Triple Channel
Prolimatech Megahalems CPU Cooler w/ x2 Akasa Apache Black 120 Fans
HIS ATI Radeon HD 6950 2048MB
OCZ Vertex 2E 120GB 2.5" SATA-II SSD
WD Caviar Black 640GB SATA 6Gb
WD 500 GB HD
Corsair TX 650W ATX SLi Compliant Power Supply

That speed quoted in the System dialogue is wrong. Use CPU-Z or Real Temp (whilst you're running a benchmark so it's running at full speed) to find that out.

I tried both those programes Real Temp, shows my overclock as per the BIOS 4.2GHZ
But CPU-Z agrees with my System dialogue still showing 3.07GHZ
As I didnt get my overclock settings and and Have little experience of overclocking myself... How do I reset the overclock, so that its read correctly in System dialogue, or does that NOT really matter, and my system is actually running at 4.2GHZ

I had a similar problem, what resolved it was going to system information in the bios and saving from there,it might have been a pure luck of the draw but it updated to show my oc on windows ;)

Sorry I was reading it wrong yes it does say the correct speed, though its changes, but that could just the different cores, So its really only the System dialogue thats wrong....

Yeah, cos the system doesn't 'detect' overclocks as such, only reads stock speeds of the chip. The reason it's changing is because you have 'balanced power' or speedstep enabled :)
