The PSP2 to be as poweful as the PS3

The PSP is technically less than 1/2 as powerful as the PS2 if major title development hadn't moved on to PS3 6 or so years ago I believe the difference would still show.

LOLOLOLOL Not even in 5-10 years time a handheld will be as powerful as an xbox 360 or ps3. Your hands will melt with that much power.

PSP2 just needs to have graphics like the new ipod/ipones. Infinite Blade is the best looking hand held game I have ever seen.

Just give me those graphics on the PSP2.

Sounds like typical Sony exaggeration.

However, dual analogue sticks and a move back to physical media? That's some good news!

What i'd really like to see is a full implementation of it being usable as both a more traditional console and a handheld, as they seem to keep nearly doing with the PSP. By this i mean, i'd love it if i could hook it up to my TV, sync it with a PS3 pad via bluetooth and play on my screen, then when i need to go out, disconnect it all and continue playing on the tube. That would be an immense thing for me.

That video looks incredibly jerky. There's no point having great graphics at the expense of a steady frame rate, also I remember Sony saying the PSP would have PS2 graphics and it just... doesn't. :p

Meh, I don't think adding dual sticks will do anything apart from making some games easier to play. If I want to play an FPS game, I'll play it on the PS3 or PC the way these games are meant to be played.

PSP2 needs to have a touch screen, needs to be 3d, needs better community intergration and a well featured app store to really get me interested.

Not likely but would be cool.

I agree with all but 3D, why has the world suddenly become obsessed with 3D?

As for the dual analogue, improved control is always a good thing.

I think 3D has always been a bit of a fad and has slowly drifted back into the unknown but this time it seems to be here to stay, I'd say in maybe 10 years or so 3D TV's will be the norm just like HDTV's are the norm whereas 10 years ago they wouldn't have been.

Oh i don't disagree with 3DTVs, they're fine and dandy. What i don't get is the obsession with 3D in hand-held devices, i was under the impression 3D was about immersion, i can't see it really helping with a 5" screen!

I dunno, maybe Nintendo will surprise us. I for one can't wait. :D

Mobile SoCs will deliver ps3 gaming power in 2012/2013 for those interested (when the multicore a9/a15s hit the 32/28nm process)

Wonder what sony has been been cooking up for this?
