New heatsink for the i7 920 C0

How are you finding the VX mate?

Dunno yet, still being to lazy to un-install the water, and install the VX, its been sat in my spares pile for a good 2 weeks now haha.

I will get to it eventually though, just need to sort a time to do it all, and stick with it. I'll update my cooler thread when its done though lol.

a small problem is it seems cogage dont have retailers in the uk :/
so it looks like its out of the running.

avoiding watercooling as the idea worries me and having water running in my pc case doesnt fill me with confidence so hence the air :)

the cost, the hassle..top end air cooling works out the fraction of the price and is easier to fit and maintain.

It does currently looking at it on a competitors site, £40 + Del, in stock, but i can't tell u the site though due to forum rules.

Just put the cooler name into everyones favorite search engine, and trust me you will spot it lol.

I know the feeling, took me a week to finally get round to installing my megahelims, too lazy to take out the TRUE black that i had installed.:o

well 5 reviews later on the cogage arrow and it appears in most reviews to outperform many heat sinks including the D14 , so i think it will be my choice , however i now have a new question can anyone suggest 3 fans 2 120x25mm and a 120x38mm fan i always thought yate loons were the best then i was told about noctuas and now i havent a clue so any advice will help.

Having a quick read up myself, 140mm fans will fit on it, so id personally get 3 140's, which should make it quieter, but which i have no idea, over to our resident cooler tester for that haha.

From what I can see included in the bundle are 4 wire clips for 120/140mm fans and 2 more for 38mm thick fans. The clips are different to those on the silver arrow so I'm not too sure what they'll be like exactly. I'd recommend just using 2 140mm fans because if you have one on the rear, it will be too close to the exhaust fan on the case anyway. A third fan won't make much of a difference. I haven't had too many 140mm fans to play with but check this: http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/coolers/display/140mm-fan-roundup_13.html#sect0

I'd go with the themalright X-silent fans purely because it has a standard frame and will have no issues with the wire clips.

Oh and cheers for the compliment bifday2k :D. I've been trying hard to get an archon to test but I may just buy it.

The Silver Arrow seems to be in stock at the moment , would i be better off ordering it than the cogage and trying to find my own fans ?
