Recently the OcUK Selection of gaming surfaces has been growing. We have re-introduced Qpad back into the selection due to their specialised hybratek coating. I use the Qpad HeatoN pad, not had any problems. Just wondering which pad you use and if you think it has improved you're gaming experience.

Here are a few of our newer / best pads:

Qpad heatoN Gaming Mouse pad @ £29.99 inc VAT

GS-057-QP_400.jpg

The pad itself has a dimension of incredible 43.5x36.5x0.35cm (17.12x14.37inch) which makes it almost impossible to slide off the edge. Previously you have only found such large pads made out of traditional cloth, but are now also available for all hard top fans out there. The surface is constructed in a 3 layer construction. Starting with a high quality cross weave rubber to make it stable on the table. The second layer is an abs plastic sheet to give it stability and weight. The third layer is made from an extremely durable carbytek plastic that offers a very good glide in combination with unique micro precision. The combination of a spongy 2mm rubber base with an abs board in between and the hard top surface gives it a new feeling never felt before. The weight of almost a half kilogram makes it very stable and firm on the table.

- Size 43.5 x 36.5 cm
- Thickness 4 mm
- Surface Carbytek technology. Hard top plastic
- Colour black

I use an exactat too and like it a lot.

Got a Puretrak Talent on its way from the US soon and this is supposed to be an awesome pad will let you know my thoughts on it. If it's as good as i've read then you should consider stocking it if possible.

Your Gaming Pad

Fixed for correct spelling :p

I use a SteelSeries QcK pad - it's crap, slips all over the place! What would be the best replacement? (Game at around 1000dpi if that makes a difference, and movement is wrist/arm based)

Maybe the Goliathus? (Choose your size). The reason I didn't get a Goliathus is that they have Control or Speed versions and there was some differing opinions on what this actually meant.

Logically you would think the speed version is a very smooth surface for you to move your mouse quickly with less control but some said it's the other way around to suit your style i.e. Low sensitivity users should go for the speed and high sensitivty users should go for the control.....confused the hell outta me so I went for the Puretrak Talent.

I use the Steelseries SX, but frankly i need a bigger mat these days.

I play more low sense than i used to...

Anyone recommend a good largish mat for use with a G500? :)

Suffices?

So you play with mouse and kb for HL2 but for CSS and TF2 you use a x360 pad and find it better?:eek::eek::eek::eek:

noooooo, can only play with mouse and keyboard on most Valve based games, prolly why i'm cack, lol

looool, mouse and keyboard suffices for HL2 and such but i get trashed on CS:S TF2 lol

That's odd. Two members of my Div4 team in TF2 use 360 controllers, and I know a few CS:S pros who use them as well.

I've never been able to grasp them (on consoles anyway :p).

GZA, where did you find the source for confusing/contradictory info on the Goliathus? I have been looking at it, but I'm unsure of which I would need :p

Or is there an alternative mousemat I should be looking at?

Depends on how large. If you looking huge then boogie bug is the right choice for size and price. If your looking for slightly smaller the HeatoN based on the famous CS player is very good and big enough for people who use lower DPI.

Razer destructor on top of Qpad masterpad on a black felt desk cover. Makes for nice padded softness for wrists etc, with stupidly precise tracking on my mouse. Going from an old fail pad > qpad masterpad > steelseries something > Razer destructor and having tried out friend Exactmats, icepads and some other random "high end gamer pads" at LANS:
I can state that it is by FAR the best mat I have ever used, I even believe the marketing speak on the front as it is so much nicer to use for AutoCAD and gaming, whether I am playing FPS or RTS etc. Tend to use it on 5700 DPI but in AutoCAD I often will be down at 400-800 and its still awesome.
