I know it's a tricky question as some people live alone. But say that if you often drink with others - like friends and/or house members - do you also drink when you're alone? If so, how much?

Do you drink alone to get drunk, or just for recreation?

I often find myself looking forward to a beer or two at home in front of the tele. Even though I'm not going to get drunk, it seems to be more enjoyable than just, say, like coke or water.

I don't see the problem with having a glass of my homebrew or a bit of whiskey when I get home from work or when I'm just sitting in front of the spazbox. Not every day though.

I often have a few glasses of wine whilst alone watching tv or relaxing if the missus is out its just a drink to me same as a cup of tea or a coffee, whats the big deal?

no, only when socialising, and that doesn't include via team speak:p

I always feel bad for the drunk guys on call of duty servers.

All the time, more so than with others.

I drink because I like the taste of wine, beer and spirits, not to get drunk.

Like wise I eat alone most of the time - I don't only eat when with others. Of course it is often nice to be in the company of others, and eating and drinking are nice things to do with family or friends.

Drinking to get drunk? No.

Drinking because I fancy a drink and accidentally getting drunk in the process? Sometimes :D

i'll have a few drinks on a friday night in the house on my own whilst chilling out. love it. i can't say i've ever gone to the pub on my own and got drunk though.

Indeed. When I drink coffee I don't feel the need to gather a group of friends over to have a quick espresso.

I'll occasionally have a beer/glass of wine with dinner, but never intentionally get drunk on my own.

I dont drink to excess when im alone, but I may have a beer or a glass of wine occasionally, although not too often I must say. There are just some times at the end of the day when I can really do with a nice cold beer.
