DC Universe Online - What's happening with it?

Have any of you guys played the PC and PS3 version and care to share the differences?

Very tempted to pick this up for the PS3 as I have never played a MMORPG on a console before (minus Phantasy Star Online and the FFXI beta on the 360).

The subscirptions are up on the psn to buy now, 9.99 for 1 month 27.99 for 3 cant remember what it is for 6, i personally wont be getting, it was ok but as champions online is going f2p soon ill get my hero fix there.

£49.99 for six months.

Also if anyone is planning on trying it on PS3. Remember that you can always buy PSN Cards cheaper.

You can get a £20 card for as low as £16.99 or with some codes I have found as low as £15.50 ish.

So that makes it a little bit more cheaper.

Three £20 cards for about £45. Means you can have 6 months worth and change enough for something else too.
 
Anyone already playing? Would be interested to hear if there have been any changes or updates from the last beta played. I do hope they have sorted out the mic issue.
 
Just went and picked this up from the purple store! Factory sealed with just the game and a leaflet advertising DC clothes at play.com and no code?? The game is asking me for my code on the back of the manual and I didn't even get a bloody manual :confused:
 
Yeah I picked it up Friday afternoon! Only played 4 hours or so as i've been away since friday night, but what I can tell so far it's been optimised for the PS3 pretty well and deffo suites the controller! The only thing im concerned with right now is how the fps drops to around 15-20 when there is a lot of people around doing the same mission in Gotham but that is obviously to be expected for a mmo on a console!
 
Been playing this since the beta and they still have not sorted out the mic issues. Pain in the butt. We have had to use mobile phones to communicate. This should have been fixed before the actual game was released.

Fun game but this is a basic requirement that should not have been over looked. If you are in no hurry to get this game I would hold off a while until this is patched. Sloppy work SOE.

Like someone said. Very populated on PS3.

Be prepared for a 14gig download though after install.
 
Is there anyway to buy and download this off the PSN store, my computers playing up so up for playing it on my ps3 which hasnt been used in months, im so used to just downloading games off steam though :p

also does anyone know if a well known pc selling shop is selling this? Its not on their website but thats a local shop for me.

ignore this, i went out and bought it, didnt seem like a 14gb update was needed for me? Took me about half hour to get all the updates unless it turbocharged my internet speed.

Enjoying it but dont like my character, what server you guys playing on? Anyone in a league on console, im still getting used to it with a console, few things are annoying me though like interacting with other players, although the combat seems well suited to the controller, the menu's etc do not.

It is definitely a game to play with friends. We play on the PVE server. For all seasons. Server 3.

The only major issue at the moment is Voice Chat is not working which is a major pain. At the moment we are using our phones and doing voice conference type calls when more than two of us :p

Hopefully they will fix that issue soon.

As for button pressing. Yes it is a little bit like that but no more than any other MMO (Clicking on rather than pressing buttons). As you go further your communication needs to be better and you need to select a particular role in larger battles.

Fun so far but only time will tell. Does sound like they listen well to the community though. Changes have already been made by community request.

It's very much button mashing at the start, but give it some time - once you've got to level 6/7 and started accumulating some skills and powers, fighting is a lot more active and tactical.

And once you hit 10 you gain your role (Tank/Control/Healer) which changes a lot of your powers depending on stance.
