****The Nintendo 3DS Thread****

Right, I've gone ahead and pre-ordered from ShopTo. I've gone for the black console and SSFIV. I was tempted by Ridge Racer, but given that I'll be buying MK3DS the next month, it didn't seem worthwhile.

Now to save up to actually pay for it...

Same as me, but I've ordered pokemon black for the DS too.

Did you guys get bundles of some sort or just the consoles and games separately? Mate is considering getting one and shopto seem cheapest, so far.

I am getting a 15% discount at a supermarket because family work there. So I'm getting the system and games for £210-220 and a few days early.

Any body got any thing from those sites before, how reliable are they ?

I've used Gamegears a couple of times, got some slightly rare games off them at reasonable prices (Tales of Vesperia on 360, only place that had it in stock new, and didnt charge full RRP either).

I'd use em again, I've never had reason to complain.

I just realised I pre-ordered this but haven't decided on a game yet. Yes, I said "a" game as in one, at 40 quid each I don't think I can afford 2.

I'm not too bothered, I'm getting £30 off the RRP so I'm not bothered if I get it a week or two later, I'm going to keep it for my birthday anyway.

Also I get this on my pre-order screen from shopto.

Thank you for your pre order.
There is no need to check out unless you wish to pay in advance, we have received your pre order.

Yeah I was just gonna ask everyone which game they'd be buying at launch. Atm for me it just looks like SSF4. I think that Resident Evil: The Mercenaries would be fun in short bursts, a proper handheld type game where you jump in and out but nothing more. If it's simply the Mercenaries mode from RE4 & 5 then I don't think it's worth anywhere near the RRP of a similar game with a proper single player story.

What the point of buying a 3ds for Pokemon? Save money and wait till the price drops as the launch rush finishes as Pokemon isn't 3d.

Because we want a 3DS anyway, I sold my DSi for £90 when the 3DS was only really known to people who sub'd to blogs.

It's not just for pokemon, but seeing as it's released near enough the same time as the 3DS you may as well.

I remember when you could buy a Nintendo console on release day with no pre-order, now you either pre order it asap or wait for what seems a lifetime.

I've always been a mega nintendo fanboy.
