Xbox shutting down oddly

When i hold down the xbox button on the controller and select shutdown xbox, the screen will go blank but the xbox will stay on for up to 30 senconds longer and the green light flashes slowly on the xbox.

A couple of days ago after turning it off, it turned itself back on :confused:

What is causing this?

It's one of the new ones so it is a touch button and the guide button isn't stuck on the controller either :confused:

Mine does it too, it's nothing to worry about.

If its hot it will run the fan for around 20-30 seconds to cool it down when you turn it off. No idea why yours switched back on though...
