Does it matter which way round the Venom heatsink sits, the word Venom on mine is the other way round, yours is readable from the left of the heatsink and upside down if you read from the right. Mine is readable from the right of the heatsink and upside down if you read it from the left.

The Note in the instructions reads: The orientation of the heatsink will depend on your preferences and case/motherboard requirements.
So you can fit it any way round you want! :)

Is the fan on the cooler blowing hot air out from the heat sink or sucking cool air into the heat sink.

I would imagine you want it taking cooler air from the front of the case or pushing warm air out the back and so would orient it to suit that, could be wrong though.

I would think its best setup as pictured then as the exhaust fan on the rear of the case will be bringing warmer air up to that area for pushing out the case

looks cool

Very nice, been looking in to getting one of this akasa venom coolers but I was seeing a lot of people saying about clearance on the ram but looking at it in your case there really isnt a problem.

If i had to fit any more RAM in the other two slots it would be a pain as the rear most would require the fan removing from the cooler to install and if the RAM heatsinks where taller it would also be a problem so i can see where the comments have come from.

Looking sweet there chap, well done.

On a side note, did you use the sachet of TIM powder that came supplied with this cooler or an alternative?

Applying the thermal paste properly is the only part of my build im apprehensive about, so would just like some tips if you can :):)

hmm yea I can definately see the problem there with the other ram slots thanks for that extra pic.
