The thing covers two of my ram slots on my P67A-UD5, would it be ok just to use one fan, the output one as im a bit stuck here?

Thanks

Not able to put the memory in first then add the FRIO , the ram in the first slot of my MSI p67-gd65a makes slight contact with pull fan in a push pull setup.

Wont be overclocking just yet, wont even go that far neither when i do. Im using Vengence RAM which is tall so no luck there. The fan will have come out, ive seen this reviewed with one fan so it should be ok. will let you know how i get on.

You will be able to, but it wont be as good. I tried my Venomous X with a single fan on both sides, and found it performed weaker when it was on the side away from the RAM, 'sucking' air from the heatsink.

What RAM have you got? Does it have a tall heatspreader?

That is a shame, i've heard it is a great cooler. That is one think I look for in a motherbaord too, which one has the longest gap between CPU socket and RAM slots :P

I suppose you could look for a thinner fan perhaps? I know Scythe do one with is super thin. There is the SLIP STREAM SLIM, or KAZE JYU SLIM. Maybe worth looking at?

Update

Managed to get the Sticks into Slot two and Four This ok Still? The Slot two stick is about 1mm from toucing the base of the fan.

It should be ok, I've run sticks in the 2 and 4 slot before, although that is because I didnt know they were 2 and 4 :P I always assumed the first slot, the one closest to the CPU was slot 1, however I checked CPU-Z to find it turned out to be slot 4 or something. So, for me at least, the second slot from the CPU was slot 1. Might be an idea to check CPU-Z and see if it is the same for you. My mobo didnt have any markings on it to indicate which was which.
