Is it upto 12meg? ADSL or Cable?
Also did you have faster before?

post your router stats. without them, any speedtest results are meaningless.

Like they all said. It's "UPTO" your not a million miles away from the quoted mark. 7Mb is still respectable. There definitely isn't a fault in anyway.

Well looks like you are getting 7mb so i dont think there is a problem.
well there you go. you're synching at around 7Mb due to your line not being physically capable of providing 12Mb. so your speedtest results are spot on.
edit: what i just said might not be strictly true. it could be dodgy internal wiring causing you to sync at a lower speed than it's capable of. you could try plugging your router directly into the BT test socket.

5mb/s or 10mb/s in a perfect world.
*sigh* try reading the thread. the parts about "upto" and circumstances beyond the ISPs control may be relevant.
if you post your router stats and it shows a sync of 8Mb but you only ever see 2Mb speeds then i guess you have a right to be a little miffed. depending on who your isp is, maybe a switch is in order?
Doesnt sound like theres any issue then, you just dont get the full 12 of the upto 12 meg that is on offer.
This is normal, at home I get about 8 meg of an upto 16 meg connection.
