Dead Space 2 .

This had better be lying in my hallway when I get home from work today!

Hate when I preorder something online and it doesn't arrive before release, when I could just pop to Asda and grab it. :(

I don't care too much about trophies but the one I think is really pointless and willy waving is that live gamer score..!! lol

Anyhow, I've just put an order in for this after I played both the DS2 demo and the PS3 PSN Extraction Demo with Move - really good games. Just hope I have enough time with GT5 and Mass Effect 2 - so many good games at the moment.....

Do enjoy good single player games....

Same to be fair, although I've got enough games now to last me a very long time when I'm bored :D

This game is seriously good. Upto chapter 6 at the moment and although my one and only criticism is that some of the locations are very "samey" at the section I just went through, the game then quickly changes the locale and scenary to something completely different. The only time I've had an issue aiming on the PS3 so far is against the raptor style enemies due to their speed and tactics which they use to attack you. Nice to see a few new enemies though compared to the first game.

This is the reason I check now to see what my local store can and can't actually get hold of on the day of release. The staff told me that it was only the bog standard normal version yet the one they put behind the desk for me for my little midnight trip was the limited edition one :D

Anyone else find it really weird at how much Isaac talks now? He is quite the potty mouth. Wonder why they never had him speak in the first game? I think the silent protagonist can only be pulled off in certain games. The only thing I think DS1 really dropped the ball on to be honest.

Just got back from Sainsbury's with my copy :D

Still got to wait 'til this evening to play it though :(

Please tell me Isaac isn't swearing every two seconds now... as that really gets on my nerves in games.

Ive gone back on my words, i was going to buy this on launch, but im half way through New Vegas and determined to finish it, so im not buying anything else till then  pluse i spent the vouchers i had saved.

Decided not to buy at launch and wait on the rental as I'm not interested in the MP and the main game will be aced in around 12 hours or so. Plus like the last one the price will plummet faster than Jordans knickers.

Danny, you're tighter than a Nun's chuff! Mind you, I can't say a lot. I've got my free rental copy sitting on the desk next to me. Online code is on the back of the manual. It's mine!

You're not wrong :D

I still have assassins creed to get to level 50 on (currently 43) and that will take me most of the next 4 or 5 days. I figured I would wait and see if lovefilm send it out by then.

I prefer renting as I can pace myself a bit better, when i buy I tend to knock it out in a day and try to get it sold asap :)

When talking to other characters he doesn't swear. Not that I can remember anyway:confused:
When stomping on enemies he says stuff like "Just ****ing die will ya!" Like you would do anyway:D

Absolutely loving this game and I'm upto chapter 13 so far which I'm guessing is far into it. Oddly there either wasn't a chapter 12 or I just didnt find a save station for the entire chapter :S

Theres some really hard sections as well which will be a nightmare on higher difficulty levels! This is a lot easier to pick up and play compared to dead space 1 and the greater variation of enemies keep it interesting throughout. Stalkers are a nightmare in groups as they hide behind boxes and wait for you to turn away, then jump out and charge you. They then retreat behind another box and do it over and over unless you spot them first lol. The anti grav parts of the game with the boosters built into the suit are vastly more user friendly than the first games take on it.

just started the game, loved the first one..
they have really upped the visuals from DS1, it looks stunning, surprised this board is so quiet, this game has been top of my list for months.

Just got to Chapter 5 and its good so far. Not quite as good as the first yet in terms of story and atmosphere.

I have to agree. I just loved the first one on the ship. Felt an Alien movie.

On chapter 5 on DS2 and its good but I dunno, feels so much different. Not really into the big open spaces. The claustrophobic feel the first one had is I liked.

Cor blimey. Only played for 30 seconds and my heart rate has tripled. I need a lie down. :D

Does the PS3 version implement the holographic save game GUI this time around or does the screen still go to the black Sony API?
