Well Chris the technician at OCUK has told me this has bent pins. I returned this item because the board was dead, with no power in it at all. Chris the "technician" seems to think that the board has no power in it at all because it has bent pins. It's unbelievable, i have been conned. Is there anything i can do to take this further?

Hi there,

We have received the board back and have inspected it. There are still bent pins in the socket, looking at the pictures that you posted before you returned the board back to us this can been seen on these also. I have taken some photo's from different angles and will get these posted up for you soon.

Below are the images that you have posted eariler but with highlights as to the where the pins are bent.

I am sorry but there isn't much we can do with this as this is classed as customer induced damage which cannot be repaired under warranty.

What area were they saying the damaged pins were, I have saved the image to make it smaller - better quality.

The circled area corresponds to the same area previously marked. - Unfortunatly it is comepletely out of focus this time. Maybe a clear shot of the area in question is possible..

The thing that is even more ridiculous, is the fact that it has nothing to do with the pins. Before i installed the CPU, i tested the motherboard. I plugged USB into it, and no light came on. I did the same test on another board, and it showed life. The board is dead, a dud, and they are trying to churn out an excuse. £90 lost on a faulty product, feel so robbed.

No. I didn't turn it on. Just plugged USB into it. The USB showed life on the other board, nothing on this one.
