I'm not sure in what world you think it's logical to keep moving into a path of a much larger object which could almost certainly hurt you.
Yes, the van overtook, this happens in life, deal with it.
But there's no reason to be a snob, ignore the van's indicator lights and just out of spite to be "right" stay along side the van when all you had to do in reality was stop being a **** and slow down.
I don't care what vehicle you drive or ride, you don't purposely put yourself in a position to almost have an accident to prove someone wrong. Idiots.
In that video the bike rider is taking up far too much of the road and if he'd spent more time using his brakes than shouting and banging on the side of the van the whole thing would not have happened. Had to laugh at him stopped at the lights too, like that would happen if he wasn't being filmed.
He's taking up far less of the road than the van is though, so surely the van should get out of his way? Size does not grant extra rights and privileges when it comes to road usage. In that video the bike rider is taking up far too much of the road and if he'd spent more time using his brakes than shouting and banging on the side of the van the whole thing would not have happened. He was riding perfectly legitimately and within his rights. The van driver did not leave him space as he should have done. He would have done it with a motorcycle, so why not a bike? The van driver simply cut across him and he had nowhere to go. Don't know what video you were watching.
.
Humans, in general, are ********.
I'm sorry, the van overtook on the right and left plenty of space, he didn't even hit the cyclist in the first section. All he had to do was slow down.
Get it? Do I have to say it again? All the cyclist had to do was use the brake and slow down a tad and keep behind the overtaking vehicle.
Not enough space? If you want to ride NEXT to a vehicle, expect problems.
Nowhere to go? How about left? There was TONS of room. You're as blind as the cyclist.
You're a moron. The van over took and DIDN'T leave any space and simply started cutting him up. Instead of rushing to where he wanted to be he should have simply waited to slow down and see if the cyclist was going to continue on, or move to the left. Which is good highway code practice and again, something people would do with a motorcyclist. The van driver didn't. He overtook approaching a corner he intended to take without taking into consideration the intended direction of the cyclist. That move would have caused a crash if it had of been a car, motorbike, caravan or donkey. His behaviour afterwards was equally appalling and he deserved everything the courts gave him.
cyclists are a bloody menace. most of them think a red light doesnt apply to them, and just because of all this eco friendly guff, they think they are superior.
And what a pencil neck he was.
I'm a moron? RTM and look at the picture above, proven wrong.
I hate cyclists. They don't pay road tax and they think traffic lights/road signs don't apply to them.

He's within his rights to use as much of the road as he wants. However much you dislike cyclists.
Yes. You are a moron. You're arguing about a manoeuvre that the courts decided warranted punishment. And you can't even see how dangerous the van drivers manoeuvre was which leaves me hoping that on your way to work tomorrow you don't try to arrive somewhere two minutes quicker and perform the same ridiculous manoeuvre and end up killing someone under the wheels of your manly testosterone mobile.
