Defcon: Everybody Dies FREE Green Man Games

Great find.

Thanks for the heads up.

For anyone not wanting to use the "Capsule" software, install the Defcon demo from Steam then just enter your product key to play the full game :)

Options> Activation> Delete what is in there, paste in your own using the paste button, bottom left.

so you can add it to steam?

This is an amazing game. Scene is a bit dead and you have to wait to get a game but it's fantastic.

Everyone has those games that they play for a bit and then leave for a while, and then maybe play again 6 months later right? Well this isn't one of them; it's probably the only game that I have that i've had installed and played consistently for years - it's so varied and rewarding.

I'm 5-staring this thread in the hope it gets more attention! Do the same!

Worked fine for me and my brother. Downloaded the client from the link above and it activates the full game perfectly - doesn't require Steam or the GMG client :D

As far as I can tell, it doesn't add the full game to your Steam account - it just unlocks the Demo that's on your Steam account into the full game :) (as in, the game is still in your Steam account as a demo, but you can play the full version).

This I believe. :)

You'll have the "demo" on your Steam list, but be able to unlock the full features of the game with your Key.

If you delete the demo from Steam, it won't just appear in your list as an un-installed game, you'll have to find the demo in the store and re-download it.

Ah, I thought it might be something like that. That is a tad annoying, as when you dl the demo on Steam, it adds the full game as a seperate game without you asking it to even when you don't own it. I hate it when they do that.

Well, in all fairness, it's only a couple of megs in size - and the demo limitations are just a few game-modes, which will just be the odd line of code commented out :p

You mean switched, not "commented out". Demo and full game are both the same files. :)

But I agree, I hate steam adding links to buy full games so I use Favourites to hide them.
