Maybe but it doesn't alter that I'm still happier supporting something against facism than something for facism. Neither of the groups is particularly to my tastes but one is less objectionable on a philosophical level as I've said - provided we're looking at the ideals rather than the actions which may not quite match up.

You're not starting with "the silent majority" again are you? It only ever seems to be the call when people find that their views are not notably popular with people choosing to speak about it.

I'll grant that it's people with the most firmly entrenched views who tend to speak the loudest about any given issue and therefore it's difficult to properly evaluate when people don't have strong feelings about an issue but to claim the support of people when you don't know what they think is somewhat disingenous.

As am I. As are the BNP. Neither I nor they are fascist. You should judge the UAF by what they do rather than by their name. And then you will get a rather different picture.

Feel sorry for the town center, who knows what will erupt. Having been in Birmingham when the EDL was there, can say it was they who were instigating the majority of the trouble. They continually say their against "radical Islam" but listening to their chants and conversations their blatantly just racist. UAF, I'm sure are just as bad in terms of trouble, but both groups do have a right to a peaceful protest. It'll be a heck of challenge for the authorities to prevent violence, think most of the EDL supporters are going to be pretty charged up with the fact their leader was supposedly attack and I'm sure they'll exaggerate this incident to drum up some testosterone! The problem with the EDL is that the majority of supporters are young and from fairly poor background and unfortunately are far too easily brainwashed by their hierarchy.

As for their so called hooligan leader who was recently interviewed by Paxman for Newsnight, his performance was laughable! I can't help but feel the EC
DL is nothing more than a working mens social club for skinhead football hooligans with nothing better to do.

Need more stuff like the EDL, far to soft some areas, glad Wigan is pretty much all white , unlike some areas around here (Preston/Blackburn/Botlon) horrible places to go.
 
FWIW I don't support the EDL at all, or their political philosophy. In fact there is evidence that they are a creation of the security services, designed to divide (and conquer) the nationalist community. Of course most of their supporters are unaware of this and are essentially useful idiots.

Its to show that they are not anti-semitic as often portrayed in the media as Nazi thugs, they are opposed to the Islamification of this country and I if there wasn't an issue there wouldn't be a group like this would there?

Had to go working in Preston, Asian area, literally everybody was Asian and they would not speak to me and ignorant, talking in some foreign language, felt like I had got on a plane to Asia.

I am sure they are not all like that but that shocked.

Well they aren't, are they. They state that they welcome mass immigration, multiculturalism and multiracialism. They also state that racists are not welcome.

The fact that some racists obviously nonetheless join EDL marches is by the by.

They also support Israel. Whatever the EDL is, it is clear that they are not British nationalists because their policies are anathema to any true nationalist.
