OCuK postage Fail???

last night i ordered THIS item and the postage was Royal Mail 1st Class: £3.88

tonight i want to order some ram witch is basic the same this just £10 cheaper but for some reason the postage is £8.05

how can the same item be two different postage prices, it as to weigh the same right?

Maybe the size of the box is different, the royal mail are notorious for postage prices

i use royal mail a lot and i know it's all about the weight not the size after you get past large letter sending and none would be sent as a large letter

You should be able to connect your forum account to your shop account for free postage.

Are you sure they're both by royal mail? As if it (for some reason) changed the price to the DPD next day price, it would be much more expensive.

that is a good point it's DPD there is no royal mail option :confused:

You must be pretty close to free postage by now.....

Only think I can think of though would be if it were a larger package (may well be)

That's weird, as I've just tried pretending to buy them, and I have all the royalmail options available.

Are you based somewhere remote, that might mean RM can't deliver to you at this time?

You don't use up free postage, you can use it every time you order, as many, or as little times as that may be.

my understanding was 1 frre postage ever 250 forum post's

Cant of used them for a while then as royal mail have been using size and weight for a while now.

I knew you didn't get it. Once you reach 250 posts, you are entitled to free postage "indefinitely"

i ship about 50+ ford motor part to ppl each week from my place of work using royal mail, you take it in dump item on weighing scales they tell you price or you have them picked up, never have i been asked how big the item is

Yep, however/whenever you want, think I've probably used it about 5 times myself, from an order of just a DP->DVI adapter, to my full order of my new Sandybridge build.
