They've done an utterly fantastic job. I'm totally amazed at how much difference it's made. Amazing. :)

Glad he's back on the road to recovery again. He'll be back home and upto his usual tricks very soon.

home this afternoon woot :) although another operation to worry about in 3/4 months :(

just had a phone call from the hospital, cancellation has came up and we're in for second op on monday. short notice but all good
 
well this will be his final operation (fingers crossed) this ones to close up the front section of his palet once this is done he will get a checkup every year or so but his oral care gets passed over to the dental team as there will be issues with his teeth coming in over the years, but minor in comparison to last years and mondays ops :)
 
Wow, even after the 1 month period he's looking good, amazing how quickly babies can heal

well op was done this morning

just a quick update to say all is well and the wee fella is sitting up with a bottle of milk sore but otherwise well :)
 
Been in the situation a couple of time, Some of the scariest times of my life,

Firstly my little boy was 6 weeks prem so had to stay in hospital for 2 weeks (this was horrible) and to top it off the first night he was in they accidentally gave him twice the amount of an antibiotics as they should have, He wee'd most of it out but this gave him very bad nappy rash and there could have been complication from the overdose (luckily there were none).

He also had 2 hernia's in his groin which both needed operating on before he was 1, Both were done in London (which is stressful at the best of times) and the second time he had a bit of a "turn" in which they had to bag him.

I blame this on all of my grey hairs, I have never felt so useless and unable to protect him.

know that feeling of uselessness, had it today when they were putting the wee fella under jag and 10 seconds later he was limp, horrible feeling brought me to tears
 
Just an update the wee fella had a bit Of an oh crap moment today the repaired section of his palet came away today resulting in heavy bloodloss and an emergency trip to the hospital
Emergency surgery has went well and he's stable in intensive care

full of dihidrocodiene atm and sound asleep.

all being well out of intensive care tommorow pm and home monday or so :)
