Do you contribute to Wikipedia?

The problem with adding/editing is that someoen will possibly come along and edit what you have added after thats happened a few times you will get frustrated that you even bothered.

I have, but stopped when I ended up getting into editing wars.

Me too. I used to but the admins are so overzealous and up their own rectums that I gave up. Constant amount of "no fair use attached to this image", "citation missing" "according to who?" etc etc. I have up roundabout 2006.

And then there's the point that you should never rely on Wikipedia for accurate information anyway.

Well I was editing a section about my own work when I rage quit as an admin/mod/whatever was reversing my edits.

I wrote/re-wrote one article on something related to physics which was just a stub previously..

I tried editting an article about the Chernonyl disaster in which Wiki claims that the graphite set fire. Has anybody recently tried to set fire to graphite?? It's impossible at the sorts of temperatures at Chernobyl. I changed it time and time again, but it always got changed back almost straight away so I have given up.

Never have never will, all it causes is angry grrrrrr :P

I do get tired of the tutors that had always said "would you rely on it for everything?" due to the news and such painting it a horrible picture :(

I was banned several years ago, after multiple attempts to edit the alias for the popular wrestler Hulk Hogan, to include an alter ego "Hank Hogan", to wind a mate up.

It's been locked now! :D

I contribute decent links that I find and feel should be on a wiki page. Pretty rare now though as I'm usually so busy on the net.

Something I've always wanted to know, what about American/British spelling? Is there a preference that people should stick to or is it like, whatever.
