I have an HP Slimline pc here which needs a new power supply, was wondering what the form factor was... is it Mini ITX?

Found this on their website. "HP Slimline computers use power supplies that fit into cases that are smaller than ATX. These power supplies are either micro-atx or are of a special design. When ordering a power supply for a slimline PC, make sure to use the original part number (or PC model number) when searching for a replacement or upgrade."

The model number is "s3320"

Cheers :)

Much better shout to look for the info direct from HP, or in the documents that came with it.

If not you could always open it up and take a look, then post a pic if still not sure.

OK!

A little update. I have found the part number for the PSU, unfortunately HP do not sell this and I can't find it anywhere else on the net. Only one shop which was out of stock.

Surely I could use some other power supply in this case. The only thing is the ATX 24 pin is of the mini version, not the full standard 24 pin. There must be an adapter somewhere.

Anyone got any ideas if I could use an alternative PSU.

The HP part number is - 5188-7521

Any help on this is very much appreciated.

Do OcUK sell small form factor PSU's?

Hopefully the link below is your pc:

Looking through the manual the PSU runs along the top of the case, flat and long.

It does indeed run along the top. That is the PSU in the video.

If you google the part number you will see exactly what PSU it is. Unfortunately no where including HP seem to sell it. If they do it's ridiculously overpriced. If I could find a non-hp replacement with the small 24-pin atx, that would be ideal.

looks like any 1u psu should be able to fit as long as you find that adaptor for the mini connector.

there are loads to choose from from fsp, delta, seasonic and a few other makers.

just google "1u psu" and you will find them.

I found one place with delivery 1 - 5 days about £145. Another place no stock but around £75. Otherwise the bay have them but again pretty expensive.

Cheaper to buy a new case and psu..

That was my original thoughts when I first seen the prices of them with my original searches.

However, after I was suggested to look for "1U" PSU's. A whole host of them popped up which looked as if they would fit just fine. Between £30 and £40 delivered. So not to bad.

Thank's again everyone who offered advice and spent some time. Top class forum :)
