I was outside having a smoke and a huge staff comes walking into my garden right up to me. Naturally i go to walk inside and unbeknownst to me my Rhodesian ridge back was waiting by the front door, which led to him escaping and a fight ensued in my front garden.

Scared the hell out of me :(

My dog chased him to the other end of my street and by the time i managed to catch up with them the other dog was cowering in someone's front garden.

Really sad to see. Just thank god neither of them got seriously hurt.

Because as every dog owner knows, when a strange dog is outside your door the best thing to do when you know your own dog is in the house is open the door.

love ridgebacks :/ i want one but i don't have the land to keep one properly :(

ridgebacks and mastiffs so cute :)

I think most dog owners are also competent enough to train to their dog not to attack others, probably not long until someone is bitten and his dog is killed.

It doesn't matter how well trained your dog is, you probably didn't train the one who wandered into your dogs territory did you? Anyone with half a brain would know to be extra careful in such a situation, have to be a complete retard to open your door like that.

a pitbull had a go at my mums yorkshire terrier when i was around 8 years old, i didnt see it thankfully but it took a huge chunk out of our dogs kneck

it belonged to someone a few doors down good job it wasnt a child it got a hold off , aparently some guy was smashing the pitbull in the face with a sweeping bursh and it wouldnt let go, they had to force its jaw open with a metal bar.

our dog survived but it was never the same again, it was constantly on edge , always nerous peed its basket a few times all because some stupid idiot couldnt look after there dog responsibly

The owners are just like their dogs I find too, no apologies will ever be had from them and it will always be you in the wrong. We had a dog take a chunk out of my dog, vet bill came to £500, i went to see the bloke who owned the dog, asked him to foot the bill, I already knew he wouldn't, but he wouldn't even apologise or admit he did anything wrong.
