Hi guys,

What inspires you in life / gives you a real kick in the arse to sort things out?

I'll start off.

2.00 in this song gets me every time, just puts the hugest smile on my face and puts everything into perspective! A tad 'gay' I know :p

So what inspires you to live your life? Be it a story, a person, a song, a book, a film etc?

love or hate the show (i personally love it) but john locke's story in lost i found incredibly motivating. music is what motivates me the most though, stone roses 'i wanna be adored' being a prime example.

My only ambition and indeed what keeps me motivated in life is to experience a state of absolute apathy. It's a lot harder to achieve than it sounds, so easy to just give up all the time.

Old people working on the tills in places like Tesco, I know it sounds harsh but I'm gonna make damned sure that's not me.

Just start not caring about things, start small with mundane things and don't deal with the bigger issues later :)

Listening to Beethoven's "Eroica" 3rd symphony or Mozart's "Dies Irae" from his Requiem fires me up.

HAHA. Same,

harsh, but I know what you mean when I see supermarket workers in their green fleeces. Some look suicidal and I can understand why. Others seem happy which is possibly worse. how can you be happy doing that all day.

Not saying my job is perfect and compared to a celebrity or billionaire it might be as bad but it is acceptbable for now.

I have just been to the petrol station and the guy I see there most nights looks like he is about to die.

I am far from neat and tidy but this guy stinks of pee and works nights at a petrol station and is 50+.

Maybe it is because I am a bit scruffy and work nights but I hope to be abit less scruffy looking by his age and I hope to never smell of ammonia quite so badly, lucky although nights my job isn't quite as grim. Safe for now.
