I need to steal my own bike...

jack or angle grinder

prepare to be amazed at how no one whatsoever will pay any attention to you stealing your bike though. i spent half hour hacksawing through a crap lock years ago when i lost my key and no one who walked passed even looked

If all of the above fails, if you do not want to go down the cutting route, to stop the hard effort and damaging the bike or even being arrested for stealing your own bike. Then I would suggest one of these:

and a pair of these:

When I say the pair of the above, I mean just one, as buying two would be silly. This to find the broken key of course, so you can take it to a key repair shop!

I hope this works. :)

I managed to steal mine by guessing the code the other day, someone had obviously tried to break into the lock as two rounds of the numbers were broken off so I didn't know which number I was on. Trial and error for about 5mins and I was in. Need to buy a new lock though so can't cycle at the moment :(

Yeh. Went to unlock my bike this morning and the key snapped in half, I saw the broken half briefly before it vanished from sight, I've spent 20 minutes looking for it to no avail!

Anyway, its a big U-shaped lock, 12mm hardened steel.

Is a hacksaw going to be enough? Or do I need to find someone with an angle grinder or something?

Get a locksmith to sort it out?

ive got exactly this problem!

Except the d lock goes through a massive thick chain aswell, my bikes been there 3 years cos im too lazy to do owt about it, its going to need new everything by the time i can be btohered to do something about it

p.s
tie bull to lock
