Test Drive 2 has been released & is available to download on steam

well if nothing else the old "drive every road" thing will keep me busy for a while, this island has sooo many roads, long way to go though with only a lancia delta integrale and a hummer h3 to my name. shame i cant use the lancia for the offroad racing, but thatd be a little too easy i guess :D

well if its the same melody "every game is a sim" then yes it is terrible which it isn't really.. im playing it happily on hardcore settings with wheel.. and its fun.

Handling doesn't seem that bad to me although I'm playing on hardcore with a wheel as well.

It might be diff for a wheel but defiantly on a pad the handling is seriously bad really really jumpy.
Also graphics to me they look fine, not amazing but good enough, the framerate though is shocking! consistently less then 30fps.....all max,2aa 1080p

Intro to the game was like way lag lag lag lag, then as soon as I got into the game online it was fine with Max graphics with 8 x aa. Steering needed some serious tweaking on my gamepad but its ok now, I am a sim racer so the controls are a little hard to get used to no real connection with the gears but time will tell as havnt really played it long.

how on earth do you remap gamepad buttons wont let me deviate from the 360 default after i used a 360 pad emu in order for my rumblepad 2 to work.

Ah the good old Misery of the Rumble pad compatibility, mine's collecting dust since I brought the Logitech F710 replacement of the RP2 x-input is deffently a must for all these new games.

Aye, the RP2 was a solidly designed gamepad, however, as soon as X-Input became the standard in PC gaming, it was a dead duck.

I will admit that the default settings it chose (which were for the X360 pad) were so bad that I found it impossible to drive anywhere without crashing into a tree. It took me about 15 mins of fiddling to get the settings right. Not perfect since I also had to spend 10 mins remapping all the keys.

It's good fun though. I've found a few roads that look fun to drive but I think I'll save them for when I have a nicer car.

Does this game have clutch support for g27?
I've not had any joy with the clutch on the G25 - there's an option in the controls for it, and it defaults to the correct pedal when you select the wheel, but as far as I could tell it didn't make any difference at all to changing gear.

Clutch at present, acts more like a on/off button, its either on or off, very poor coding, also you will find the Brake is also on or off, the only pedal to act normal is the gas, my tip for the moment is, tap the brake before the corner and feather the gas through the corner, thats it.. also dont expect any real FFB from the wheel, as it appears there is none lol.

anyone have any problems with securecom. damn DRM are annoying me, i enter the code from the "text below then it said's failed! i even copy and pasted the code. Am i missing something ?

i'm getting better than 30fps on my system listed in the sig, ( cpu currently at 3.5Ghz) at the same settings as you

Why is it that this game runs on the same console hardware as the 2006 original... yet the PC system requirements appear to have shot up in that time. TDU 1 runs great on what is nowadays modest hardware (mine for example) but TDU 2 is more demanding?

I haven't got the game but the graphics don't look to have improved at all, in fact they are possibly worse.
