Fan Advise For Dummies

Hi all need "Fan Advise For Dummies" got a Antec 100 with 2 the supplied fans on low setting, very quiet, they both drawing air out of case tho, can add three more two to cool HDD's, and one side fan for graphics card all meant to suck air in all three 120

the two supplied fans powered by four pin molex connectors from my PSU (Corsair CMPSU-650TX) got lots of molex free, all Sata now

my MB (GA-G31M ES2L) only got one free, three pin fan connector left not "PWM" would suit best to connect to side fan because of location but what do i know ?

Don't really want to add a fan controller if possible what other options do i have for adding more fans with only four pin molex as a power supply or do i really need a controller?, and can i use that three pin MB for a side 120 ? without it running at full blast ? ...... plus too many connector options that are not really explain well in layman terms for us dummies :confused:

where can i read up on this ?

you can get splitters for the 4 pin molex to piggy back off

yes i figured that much ...... but wont fans just run at max? and be loud?

as a stop gap been using a 90 mm ZM-F2 Plus has a resister between fan and power connector reduces power to fan but not sure how that is better for cooling but was quiet and better than nothing

maybe i was asking two things

1 what are my options for piece an quite with molex

2 why and how do all different connections work (readable media)

if anyone still cares i just upgraded to fractal fans and one power management fan in side panel silent heaven here now

processor running at 26 degrees normal surfing is this normal ?

26 degrees if very cool. Mine is at around 28 atm. Coldest I've had it at was 19 degrees when we didn't have the heating on.

can feel your pain with regards to the heating

my ex couldn't exist below 64 degrees farenheit
