Had a fun moment the other night

Flying around the map as a passenger in a helicopter, but it started to receive fire from an enemy copter so I bailed and deployed my chute

Whilst parachuting high up in the air, I managed to shoot a tag and hit the enemy copter, got a lock, shot my rocket and blew it up

:D

-They're better weapons than the Thompson.
-I don't see the point in getting C4 over a Grenade Launcher, unless your good at long range throws with C4.
-Extra C4 is pointless when you have an Ammo Kit.
-Explosive damage is relatively pointless as explosive damage is good enough by default.

extra explosive damage means you can bring a 2 story house down in 3 c4, including mcom buildings.

also c4 mk2 lets you rip the entire side wall of a house with one hit to expose the squishy people within.

40mm gl sucks balls in comparison, got more kills with smoke launcher than that.

And the Thompson is epic :D

Still can't get the hang of throwing the c4.

When I use the Tefal method it falls at my feet.

Is there any vids kicking about of how it should be done?

Seen one on Youtube but they didn't jump during the throw as Tefal mentions.

either throwing slightly too soo nor too late.

If you like when i figure fraps out i'll post a video of me throwing if you like?

The key really is to not full auto fire, keep tapping the button to fire 1/2 shots at a time. Get the hang of it and you can out-snipe recons :)

They assault is a really versatile kit being able to swap out for a shotgun and use C4 while keeping the ammo box for resupplies, 40mm smoke for cover and diversions. Gives more options than Recon in my opinion

Yeah if i see an assault with an xm8 that i think might be you steve or defrag i don't just sit in the open as they spray an line up a shot with the m24 i run like **** and wait with c4 and sensors for you to chase as i'm just not going to win :p

Bunging a C4 at an enemies feet camping inside a building is even more satisfyting than stabbing them in the back of the neck, especially if someone spawns on them just before you detonate.

Pff, the last time you got me with that after i chased you the C4 was in the completely wrong place (i was coming through the building you thought it was outside) and it still killed me!

Hehe, i got that earlier. Some guy shot me then ran into the corner of the stairs to the roof on Panama SQDM just before i respawned. Respawned on someone on the roof, threw C4 at the spot where he was, BOOM, triple kill.

Oh and i also threw some C4 off the roof which landed at Riflemans feet as he came round the corner of the train :D

I see you switch to the winning team A LOT.

Good for you.

lol. I don't usually switch, just only when my team/squad are non-team players. I experimented a lot at the start and thus my k/d ratio is pretty poor but I feel I'm a pretty good team/squad player and open up play by finding openings.
However, I do get peed off when other players do not drop kits, revive, or revive at in the middle of a firefight, etc.

My wins and losses are:

Wins:
355
Losses:
375

Be a man and stick with your team, don't be cheap.

See above. I do most of the time but when others don't even bother help out (when I play non assault kit) then I'll switch squads or team. Mind you there's been some great team players I've been on in the past.

Why do stats mean so much to so many? I mean really, I didn't buy this game to tally up stats ;/

For targets really and good way to see where/how I can improve whilst having fun :D

Anyhow, add me if you want guys, would be great to buddy up or to add your tags to my collection :)

Oh and tips on using the sniper kit would be much appreciated as its my least favoured kit.

I've tried all rifles and not found them as easy to get to grips with. The shotguns are great though and motion mines. However, llike others I've not found the C4 easy to use. I tend to take myself down or get shot before I can trigger.

It's a shame that you can't have C4 attach to your enemy's clothes.

The recon sniper guns are tricky beasts to get the trick of. I remember shooting at enemies with the default gun for ages and somehow always missing, or just injuring them a bit. Gave it some time though and you get a feel for the bullet drop and like so many of the guns in bc2 they come to you, or at least that is what I found.

Best advice I can give is pick a bolt action such as the default or Gol, put magnum ammo on it and stick with it until you improve. Search for static targets before you start guessing where moving targets will be.

I've been having trouble with the AEK atm, trying to get Platinum on all weapons for each class, i've only managed the M416 [love that weapon] and the AEK feels and shoots like crap.

I managed 50/26 in my last game, but it took me ages to get used to it.

:p. Just had a game that had a massive ticket count, man did the game get boring.

yea theres a few servers in our group that have rotations like that,
24/7 heavy metal 2000 tickets for E.G .. bores me to hell but they always seem full

Dunno i think id rather have a small game on our sqrush server than sit in the same map for an hour ;)

I started off thinking i'd do that...

Now that i've platinumed all the shotguns i mostly just stick to Neostead Slug shotgunning and don't particularly feel like swapping to something else.
