But then we no longer get the SX trail either.

wow thats pretty shocking , what replaces it then ? or do they think the sort of people who ride to the top of tougher downhill tracks have all vanished ? seems weird when the nearest bike to it is the pitch and they are constantly saying people have abused them when they go for warranty repairs.

This will do exactly that which you mention. It will climb like a mountain goat and descend like most DH bikes can in the UK.

The SX trail on the other hand, while peddle-able uphill ... really is not the bike you describe and is much more at home on the North Shore of Vancouver.

the enduro doesn't come close to what i was 'trying' to describe , you would have to pay me to dare take it over a jump or off drops (hence tougher in my post) whereas my old 06 sx trail with 66's could take more of a beating than i could ever give.

Hehe, well then we'll just agree to completely disagree.
Pay you to do a drop/jump with an Enduro.... it's the perfect Mega Avalanche bike!

tougher downhill
key point to the post that started this discussion

so you want to ride the local downhill and jumps/gaps/drops but you dont want a slack 8" monster because you ride up or occasionally ride some local trails you would really buy an enduro ?

oh and the whistler vid hes on a big hit , the first vid well i honestly dont think id get away with that or with 'riding hard' every week , definitely not with a few crashes or misplaced landings thrown into it, i learnt what happens when you go big on a bike thats lighter than it should be with my bmx frame

I guess they think there is no market for a FR/Mini DH bike in UK! But with a company that has so many variations of each bike they must have some overlap between models and so could pick and choose which they market to each country.

The Enduro is no way a replacement to the SX :p

Shame really though as the 2011 SX is probably one of the best looking bike specialized do.

The enduro is not the SX replacement I don't disagree, but it is much more suited to UK riding. For the purpose of pedalling up the hill and hammering down a rough track, then the Enduro is the tool for the job.

Would I choose to descend using the SX over the Enduro - definitely.
Would I choose to pedal the SX up and then come down, over the doing the same with the Enduro - no chance.

Bingo -yes I would
Apparently I'm not the only one who thinks so

Totally agree Supercow,

There are people in the UK that will put an SX Trail/Nomad/SS2 to it's limits. But they are few and far between.

These FR bikes should be left for the Alps.

My eyes were opened while out in France last year, when one of the blokes that came on the holiday with us, rode everything we did... faster, on his Pitch pro, with pikes on it!

I do agree with Andi on this one that I think he's pushed that bike as hard as it can be and if he came off, the bike could have been mangled.

He hit this roadgap on the poor little pitch :p
(it's a lot bigger than it look in the vid!)
