Not a lie probably, I emptied a couple of packets worth into a film cansiter a few years back, and accidentally set it off in my room while i was filling it, left my ears ringing for a good hour

I wasn't doubting the deafeningness of it, just the setting off an alarm by being so loud.

I knew them as crocodile snaps, probably because the first time I had them I was very young and out in the everglades in florida.

I have a habit of calling things the same since I was a kid :x

Did the same in a shed, but luckily this happened about 3/4 way through the first pack, so we got off (relatively) lightly
