Your Attainable Dream Car?

Levels of want are off the chart.

Im not too sure what my dream affordable car would be... Probably a e92 M3, but, I have a horible feeling that in the near future cars like (High performance N/A noad cars) this will be, either no longer built or taxed out of affordability.

For me it'd be a Hawk eye WRX STi, always wanted a clean and unmolested scooby but always been too afraid to take the plunge and just get one, always stayed sensible and considered practicality etc instead. I've loved the sound of the subaru's since I first went to scottish rally stages with my dad in the 80's where we met Colin McRae (also my dads name) ever since those days i've been in love with the sound. Could never have a car like that as a main car for so many reasons, but it'd do just fine for my 2 mile daily commute.

Sticking to my current V8 theme:

E92 M3
Corvette C6 Z06

Both of these could be possible when I sell my VXR8 in Australia (overpriced 2nd hand market here) and move to Chicago (not quite UK cheap but makes up for it with cheap fuel) in July this year. I'm not rushing into it when I'm there but these are my two favourites at this stage.

Been looking at and test driving all the above over the past few months with a view to buy, however i'm a bit reluctant to part with my hard earned at the moment.

In the next year or so, a roadster coupe MX5 2.0L or Scirocco 1.4TSI. In later years a 370Z or RX8 R3.

But always have had a soft spot for the Twin turbo Supra but their age and rarity of good examples makes it harder to attain one.

I love my motor, hard to find a better car for me in the price range tbh.

Same car and I'm in agreement. I'm not sure what I could replace it with short of something very, very exotic that would be 5x the cost to run. Perhaps my dream car will be modding the Z4M. Sort out the suspension, brakes and bolt on a VSS supercharger and I will have something pretty amazing (although it seems a shame to do that to the last of the non-FI M cars)

My other thought is that perhaps in the medium term my dream car will be some form of 911. Loved my Boxster and if the Z4M becomes a garage queen for summer days then a 911 may be the all round every day docile supercar that would make sense for me from a purchase and runinng cosrs perspective.

In 5 years time, I'll hopefully be looking at something along the lines of a Mazda 3/6 MPS that's a couple of years old. I'll probably never be able to afford much more than that, and certainly nothing along the lines of some of the cars that's been posted on here!

Always wanted a Lotus Elise though.
