What's the best pizza you can buy in a shop

I love domino's, doesnt help theres one about 10 seconds down the road lol. Often do BOGOF with guys at work, so 1/2 a large is £4 which isnt too bad, especially when you consider the prices of waitrose food next door :p

Dominoes Texas BBQ is unbeatable, however it's extremely overpriced!
I'd have to go with a Ristorante one for value:quality.

I love the local place!! usually go for there everything pizza :P had dominos a few weeks back cant say I enjoyed it neither the kickers or whatever they are it came with :(

As for super market ones sainsburys PE ones are my favorite though the ones were there more peppers than anything are absolutely tosh! I was disappointed once to buy one and see all it came with was 3 balls of rubbish cheese!

Frozen however Good fellas especially since ASDA have them on roll back for a quid right now XD

I would say Asda. Lovely their fresh pizzas a good size and cheap for what they are. Even can have em custom made if u wait at the counter.

You can always add to them when u get home if you have somit u fancy on it as well.

For a supermarket pizza, it would definately have to be the Chicago Town Takeaway Stuffed Crust pizza. This is by far the best oven Pizza I have ever tasted and no others have ever came close to it :).

For a takeout pizza, I would choose either Dominos or Pizza Hut as the ones by me are fairly good, the only thing is that they both can be pricey sometimes compared to other local pizza takeaways.

Honestly though this really depends on the time of day, I mean on a fri/sat night at 2 or 3 in the morning the best pizza in the world is the one closest and easiest to get in you! and if you can get it in a kebab even better!

best restaurant pizza I had was in some restaurant in Paris. It had minced meat, peppers, onions and an egg. Unfortunately, I doubt I'll ever find the place again.

Also, Rome had a brilliant no frills pizza place called.....Pizzeria (yeah...put that in google and try and find it). They had a furnace to cook your pizza. Waiter would take your order, you'd watch them prepare the pizza and they put it in their furnace. Under 2 minutes later it came out!

M&S hickory steak pizza isn't too bad but they also do a plain mozzeral base that I add toppings to. Egg on a pizza is great.

I had a pizza express one from the shop when they were on offer, but, I didn't think they were all that great.

Sainsburys refridgerated pepperoni pizza is nice, also had a Tesco finest ham and wild mushroom pizza once, which was scrummy.

I went to Sardinia some years ago, I couldnt wait to try the pizza's in Italy, I was really disapointed with the quality of them :p

I am hoping its an island thing and the pizzas on the mainland are out of this world when i ever go there.

Those Goodfellas ones advertised as being better than Dominos are pretty good! I also find the Ristorante ones by Dr Oetker are passable. The Chicago Town deep dish pizzas are quite good too, if you don't mind their being quite small.

Dominos aren't that good, i feel like they just chuck the food onto the base and throw it in the oven, it doesn't seem prepared thoughtfully.

Pizza is peasant food in Italy though.

Flour, Semolina, Olive oil, Passata, Tomato puree, an onion, Mozzerella & any other toppings you wish Can all be bought at any super market and made into a pizza by hand it's cheaper healthier and a hell of a lot more tasty!

Make your own, a quarter the price or less and in a different league to anything you can buy boxed from a shop.

That was actually what put me in mind of pizza, I was watching Jamies 30 minute meals, the pizza he made looked amazing, im going to give it a crack (although i doubt with the ingredients it will come in much less in cost than a reasonable oven pizza).

Thing is, for £5 you get enough ingredients for five pizzas. I expect if you're buying for just one it won't work out cheaper. Couple of weeks ago I made three big pizzas for three people, it was around £1 a pizza for the ingredients.
