I meant different backgrounds have a different scent. Its hard to explain without being full on racist lol.

Obviously the kids smelled of curry because that's what they usually eat, the smell would stick to the clothes from being in the house.

They don't smell just because they are Indian/Pakistani whatever :p.

yea that's what I meant lol.

:D

Heh fair enough. Depends how strongly or unpleasent though surely. Perhaps if the house absolutely stunk of it then the children may have smelt quite strongly. I am still in no way condoning spraying children with air freshener regardless. The fact that they are Asian just adds fuel to the fire to be honest. IE the teacher will more than likely get some kind of racial charge other than just child abuse or whatever she will get. :p

That woman is a first class moron, and tbh I know far too many people who would do the same thing and they don't see it as racist.

Any normal pesron if they did not like a smell in a room (wherever it came from) would treat the room, couple of those auto air fresheners job done no one says you have to like the smell of anyone or any substance its easy enough to remedy, she is obviously a small minded colset racist.

As for the newspaper, another addition to her horrible way of treating small children.

The teaching ban hammer has not gone far enough.

Surely every different ethnic backgrounds have a distinct smell, you cant really get rid of that can you?

There are no words to describe how stupid and cretinous a statement this is.

Edit/ She got what she deserved. Should have been struck off permanently. Insensitive, totally inappropriate and bullying of minors, not to mention an abuse of trust and power.

If I did that in my profession I'd never be allowed to work with service users again.

Was it a racial crime though? In your opinion.

Our old history teacher sprayed us if we farted.

Religious Studies teacher would say if we needed to fart, do it out the fire exit. He'd do it himself XD

When are we going to start probating posters who link and run? The OP's entire opinion on his own thread is "Oh well"? Jesus.

I didn't know you cared so much about my opinion :(

Here's my thoughts then.

I work in a secondary school. Kids tend to smell. So we open some doors, deal with it, I mean, there was a really bad case recently, colleague of mine plugged a nice vanilla air freshener into the wall to get over some of it. It's just kids. They run around, whatever. If they eat curry at home then that they do, but spraying them is WRONG.

I can only imagine it would have been degrading for the children, and even worse, disregards their health, by which I mean "What if they had asthma?". They were primary school students and if I had experienced anything like that kind of treatment from a superior figure, a teacher, I would have been damn upset. I'm glad I didn't grow up with that kind of treatment at school.

'Nother forum member dared me to write that I frequently spray kids with air fresheners, but I have levels of professionalism to keep up. I think kids do themselves enough harm without stupid "role-models" like that primary school teacher.
