Anyone here use this on their bike or something similar - http://www.tweekscycles.com/Product.do?method=view&n=918&g=0&p=16495 or is this just as good? - http://www.tweekscycles.com/Cycle/Frames/Frame_Protection/Demon_Tweeks_Clear_PVC_Tape/918/7362

Thinking of using it for the underside of the downtube where most of the crap hits the frame. Also thinking of using it on the left side chainstay as I have noticed many scratches appear on it and I think its the heel of my left foot thats causing it as I pedal...Either that or get another chainstay protector ?

Use Bike Tape and support a better shop ;)

-Hope Pro 2 Hubs with DT Swiss 5.1 rims.
-Hayes HFX 9 DH brakes, 8" front and rear.
-Shimano SLX Duo crankset.
-Hope Head Doctor.

Handling everything im throwing at it so far fancy a Gamut P30 chain device soon though for when im jumping.

I think its about 2009 i built it, im not one for looks over function, i dont like full ally frames they dont feel as solid as i like, so steel only for me, i like the way a multilink suspension setup works, it suits my style of riding.
How can that be dated, there are only so many ways you can make it.

I'm after a bit of impartial advice as bike shops seem to want to sell me stuff when I ask :/

I get severe neck ache on long (20+ mile) rides, now I'm assuming this is caused by reaching forward and looking up to see where I'm going.

I have moved my seat forward ½ inch and bought some mid-rise bars to replace low rise bars. I haven't tested this properly yet to see of these changes alone alleviate my issue so my question is, would a shorter stem also help without affecting handling too much? I currently have an 80mm stem with a small degree of rise.

By the way this is on a MTB.

Dont know if a shorter stem will help with your problem, but it won't make handling any worse... can only make handling better - long stems make the bike twitchy.

Funny cos the bike shop said a shorter stem might do the same thing, hence why I asked here. I'll see how I go with the changes I've already made, then look into a stem. Any recommendations for decent AM stem?

Aye if you are over stretched a shorter stem is the answer and maybe lift the stem up with some spacers if possible.

I thought about that but my steerer is too short to allow that. :(
