Your favorite album of ALL time. (Strictly only 1)

Tough tough question. Probably Surfer Rosa & Come on Pilgrim by Pixies.

I didn't realise ground-breaking lyrics were an essential part of being someone's favourite album.

My favourite is probably this:

A close call for me on this one and Matchbox 20's debut but had to stick to one as per the rules! 3Eb are a real go to band when I'm driving that album can keep me entertained even though I must have heard it a thousand times.

Funnily enough it was the same for me, I very nearly went for your Matchbox 20 choice.

Both are great bands that's for sure.

It's a hard call as I love Counting Crows, MB20, 3Eb and Train, but the one album I would always go back to would be Goo Goo Dolls, Live in Buffalo (it's a bit of a cheat as it's a mix of a lot of albums but who cares!)

Me too. Hated every album they made after it (even Morning Glory) but this one reminds me of a great period in my life - young, single, drinking, going to gigs, no responsibilities. The complete opposite of now :(

Woah there Betty, the lyrics are **** so you can't have it

You'd be great mates with my dad. :p Loved them since the start.

That doesn't make me feel good to be honest dude :/

Wow, all this loving for Matchbox 20. I thought it was good but so heavily 'inspired' by Counting Crows, with Rob Thomas trying and often failing [lyrically and vocally] to outdo Adam Duritz.

I've lived through the first day releases of some amazing albums from 1970 when I first started buying but this album just added everything together -
