Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. Well... I ran Crysis 2, I would say on average on a rez of 1900 x 1200, I get about 40-45 fps with 'hardcore' settings. I'm dreading DX 10/11.

Since you included Crysis the only answer is a GTX580 as it's really the only card that can really handle it maxed out at a decent framerate, otherwise a HD6850 would be fine.

A single GTX 580? Not a chance, unless you mean 30-45 fps is playable. If you run it at 30-45 fps, and I run it at 60 fps, there is little chance for you to win if you duel me in first-person-shooting games.

Performance is a bit better than that, more like 40-55fps here at 1920*1200, only drops lower when loading sections of the maps.![]()

I trust you know that there is no difference between 60 fps and 120 fps unless the monitor runs at 60+ Hz...

Not true. Some games are different than others, but in most MP games FPS can be the difference between winning and dead last, up to around 125fps anyway.
