Games you go back to and think WOW still...

Well what i mean here is you finish it and for example buy the GOTY edition that comes with extra content you didn't bother with at first.

Well ive bought ME1/2 CE on 360 BUT never got ME2 extra content so i purchased the PS3 version which when finished will be my third time and i still find it just as amazing as when i first played it. The story,characters,voice work sound etc all are top notch.

Just wondering what other games people have found this with and why?

Totally agree. When I think 'Do I want to play MGS4', my mind says 'not really'. But when I've got it on, I cant switch it off.

I had MGS4 when it came out, played it for about 2 hours and traded it in, I just couldn't get into it

Oblivion was superb, Exploring the tomb's was fun... New one out soon.

Oblivion was only good when you modded the PC version.

All the level and item scaling issues really broke the immersion factor of the game.

Excellent game when you modded it, pretty terrible if you didn't.

I still think shenmue looks good, ran it through an emulator the other day. Obviously its doesn't hold up to new releases. But its still got the feel I fell in love with back when I first played it.

As for what games I've played recently that wow me still, not really any. cutscenes in metal gear are awesome still. Uncharted 2 is nice while managing to stay fast paced. But the wow factor has gone. Oblivion looks hideous! The scenery looks nice, but rest of the game is nasty. The Pc version heavily modded looks good and plays well. But console version has aged terribly.

In a multiplayer sense, recently, i have been playing BC2, L4D2, Black ops(rubbish i thought), and Breach.
But i always end up going back to Reach....

In terms of single player, i would have to say Dragon Age. Played it through with a few mods the other week.

I know it's not a console game (I can't think of any sadly) but I have to say Far Cry. I can play it over and over and still be wow'd by its vast, gorgeous paradise environment. I love that game and still remember the day I took a chance and bought it from Tesco. I don't regret it.
