Its also about the security of that data, something that people like Stockhausen don't think can be trusted to lockhead martin.
.

I get the feeling Lockheed are used to keeping immensely more valuable information (and easier to sell information) than Stockhausen's religion and and ethnicity secret.

They aren't going to be any the wiser in seven weeks :p

As a side issue, what "immensely more valuable" but "easier to sell" information do you "feel" is held by Lockheed Martin or are you talking your usual nonsense?

Well, considering they are the United States biggest defence contractors that is pretty obvious.

Never heard of this stuff before. Bit daft to force ppl otherwise fine and criminal record.

I cant see how they will enforce it as theirs bound to be a large number who just wont bother like myself.

You have never heard of a census? How old are you, 7?

I'm staggered. We first got taught about the census in junior school, then in more depth in history lessons at secondary school.

If you were living at home in 2001 (the last census) you won't have actually filled one in yourself but I'm amazed people have never heard of them.

Well, that IS a relief.

To summarise, Lockheed Martin are the American Government's biggest defence contractor and therefore there is absolutely no way that they would ever pass on any data on citizens of a foreign state to the US Government or any commercial organisation - why, they may even refuse to make the data available to the UK Government - I am reassured ;)

Thank God there is such a competent and trustworthy American operation available, allowing the UK Government to avoid having to rely on one of the utterly incompetent and untrustworthy private UK enterprises - our Lords and Masters come to the rescue again - HALLELUJAH!

I was born in Ramsbottom.. what.. I don't even.. Why do you use Ramsbottom as an example of misleading information? Has this happened before?

Possibly for the amusement value, rather like calling yourself Ben Doone or Phil McCavity? Other than that I have no idea why you'd pick Ramsbottom as a particular place to use as misleading information.

This is the country where 1 in 4 people aged from 18 to 30 dont think that Churchill was our prime minister in WW2 because its the name of an insurance company. Frankly, nothing surprises me anymore ;)

Why does the census ask useless rubbish like "do you have a toilet"?

Sometimes it turns up interesting data, like in the last census (2001) 1% of houses in London (yes London) didnt have their own toilet. (ie it was a communal one rather that a private one). Though its usually more common on the Census to ask how many toilets you have rather than do you have one at all (although the US census usually has the do you have a flush toilet on it)
