***Official Shogun Total War 2 Thread***

Never played the original. Just installed RTW though. Didnt think much of Empire total war though. Just... got boring after a while. Might give it another go before i buy this one.
 
Empire/Napoleon were rubbish, horrible buggy engines and focused on ranged combat which has always been a bit crap in total war games, this one i beleive will be more like M2 than Empire/Napoleon.

was M2 good? never played it. I play RTW with a mod called SPQR which makes the battles last really long.
Its strange playing the Vanilla after. Units just rout in 5 minutes lol

Medieval 2 was the best seriously get it along with the expansion kingdoms and dl the following mods:
Stainless steel: basically what m2 should have been, its just perfect.
Third age: lord of the rings, made by the same guy who made stainless steel.

Might give it a go then, is there a 'gold' edition with that expansion included?
Will try Vanilla then that mod then.

Whats it like for system requirements?

Thats what i got the gold edition, really cheap now.

All collectors editions are limited runs and get reduced in price a while after release :p

If not, then no the chessbox isnt worth £40. The whole thing would be worth £49.99, thats how much I want to pay for it.

Oh, sweet theres a demo for this and Dragon Age 2 on the same day? =D

Just got horribly crushed in about 7 minutes on my first attempt on very hard. Just one single player historical battle on offer plus some tutorials.
