I accidentally bought 2 rolls of 2m*10cm Biketape, I'll let you have a roll for £10 + postage if you like (I think that's fair).

It's totally transparent, if applied properly it can't be seen unless you actually look for it closely.

Did you get my email that I sent via Trust mate?

A quick Google shows that;
It's the riveting process that SRAM uses on some of its chains. It supposed to be upto 25% stronger than standard riveting. Not sure if its worth it though. Is there much price difference?
Get a KMC chain ;)

About £5 difference between the two on CRC, had not looked into the KMC chains though but they get good write ups, the KMC X9 looks very decent for £25 will have to give it some thought. Thanks for the replies.

ordered my bike on monday, picking up on saturday! woop....

Specialized. The Ford of the bike world. Does the job but ****ing boring. Needs multi coloured upgrades to make it worth talking about!

:p

Right, so my rear mech was one solid lump of mud after riding Swinley at the weekend. My gears were running nicely until this point, now there's some ghost shifting going on.

I've cleaned and lubed everything, but how do I approach the ghost-shifting? I've always been useless at making gears work so left it to my local shop, but I won't have time to get there before this weekend and I'm riding again on sat.

So, the high/low adjusters are at the right point, it must just be the cable tension that needs fiddling. Is this best done at the mech barrel-adjuster or the shifer? My plan is to just ride it down the road until it start shifting randomly, then turn it either clockwise or anti-clockwise 1/4 until it gets worse or better, then fine tune it.

Unless there's a better way to go about it?

My puncture repair didnt hold. Did the water test and it showed a miniscule air leak at the edge of the patch. Re-patching now but can anyone recommend me a tube in case it fails again. My tyre is a 26x2.0 and would like a Schraeder valve.

What ever you can get the cheapest to be honest, your only going to puncture it eventually.

Aye, I think I will get a couple of these - http://www.evanscycles.com/products/continental/26-x-175-25-schrader-valve-mtb-tube-ec017411

Same one that RB linked to at Wibble but on special at £2.99 which even CRC can't beat just now.

I have just built the wheel back up and inflated it to 70PSI (tyre says in can take 30-80PSI) to see what happens overnight. Am I right in assuming that most people dont repair tubes anymore, they just replace the tube ?

Edit: I used the "Rema TipTop" stuff to repair it but thinking of getting a pack of these when I roder the tube - http://www.evanscycles.com/products/park/p02c-glueless-patch-kit-ec005508

Anyone used em ??
