Whats best case in terms of air flow, space and cable management for under £40?

What would be the best between the coolermaster 430 or the antec 100?

I'm not looking for any gaming pc case type look either.

Any advice would be great.

Thanks!

Well there are four cases in this price range that are good, these are.

Antec 100 - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-161-AN&groupid=701&catid=7&subcat=160

Elite 430 - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-214-CM&groupid=701&catid=7&subcat=29

Silverstone PS03B - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-068-SV&groupid=701&catid=7&subcat=1092

Zalman Z9 - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-037-ZA&groupid=701&catid=7&subcat=736

You cant go wrong with either of these, but the Antec and Zalman do come with more fans fitted as standard than the other two, cable management is non existent on the top three except for the Zalman which has holes for cable management around the motherboard tray.

This may sound like blasphemy to some of you but I hate the look off gaming style cases like the zalman z9 and higher end cases.

I prefer more simple cases.

I'm sure with lots of cable ties I could make the case look tidy and I could possibly tuck the cables behind the hdd slot.

Are most psu's situated at the bottom of cases?

From a thermodynamics point of view would it not be more logical to have it at the top with the exhaust fan pointing upwards seeing as hot air rises?

Most are these days, heat rises, so having the psu away from this must help? but also there will be convection currents moving the heat around the case due to the fans.

Also with the PSU at the bottom, with the fan facing down, it sucks cool air from underneath and expels it as used warm air out the back, if it was at the top of the case, it would take already warm air and just expel this as even hotter air, this must be worse?

Yeah see were your coming from.

I forgot to take other fans and other components into account.

I take it you work in the line of computers stulid?;)
